Group Therapy

Therapy that facilitates the group process - creating community, practicing relational skills, and offering support to others

Some of my most impactful work has taken place in group spaces. There is no substitute for the healing and connecting that can happen when people vulnerability share in community. When folks are connected by their lived experiences, shared identities, and relatable challenges connection can happen at an accelerated rate. Project Passion Therapy offers groups on a variety of topics on-and-off through the year.

Currently Gauging Community Interest for Spicy & Vanilla Swirl: A Processing Group for Sex Workers Navigating Vanilla Roles (updated 4/24/26)

The purpose of this group is to provide a space for sex workers who are also navigating 'professional' or vanilla roles to be in community and gain support for the unique challenges they face. This group is available to folks located in MA and CT.

Themes of discussion may include: navigating worry, fear, grief, bias, whorephobia and discrimination. Being out and being outed, imposter syndrome, code switching, identity, sexuality, relationships, and the impact of systems such as capitalism, racism, sexism, and the patriarchy. Themes of discussion will be guided by the group and facilitated by Amber Lavendel, LMHC, LPC of Project Passion Therapy
